The project was created by three members named Asim, Adam, and Srijan, based in Vancouver, Canada. The project is in Beta as of now, and they are developing this tool daily to make improvements for the best experience.

According to the team, they have built AgentGPT to eliminate the hassle of repetitive tasks and make decisions quickly without depending on multiple sources. Don’t get the wrong idea that ChatGPT and AgentGPT are the same because they are completely different, and the way these two tools work is different.

How To Use AgentGPT?

Using AgentGPT isn’t a rocket science task and is fairly easy. Just follow these steps, and you’ll get understand the process.

Step 1: Visit the official site of AgentGPT in any web browser.

Step 2: Click the “Sign In” option on the left side and sign in with any of your accounts, such as Google, Github, or Discord.

Step 3: Now, in the “Name” section, you need to enter your agent’s name. You can give any name you want as per your wish.

Step 4: In the goal tab, you must enter your query to get a response from the agent.

Step 5: Click on the “Deploy Agent” and wait for a couple of seconds until you get the response from the agent.

And that is pretty much it.

As I said, using AgentGPT is quite an easy task. You just need to visit their official site, create an account, and then chat with the agent to get your desired results.

You can start chatting with AgentGPT without creating an account too however, your history will not be recorded, and you’ll have to start over the chat again to continue the previous chat.

After entering the agent’s name, you have to enter a precise query you are curious to know about. After that, AgentGPT will analyze your query and show you a detailed process of how you can do a task or complete a goal with actionable steps. The answers you get on AgentGPT are retrieved from the internet, which means the info will be updated, unlike ChatGPT, which doesn’t have access to the internet until you get a plugin for that.

You can use AgentGPT without paying anything now, but there are a few limitations though, and one of them is you can not have a long chat with the agent because of the limited capacity on the server however, you can get rid of such limit by entering your OpenAI API which I will discuss in a few moments below.

For this example, I have named my agent “Nick” and My goal is to make a viral TikTok video here’s the response.

As you can see, I have got a series of tasks by AgentGPT that I need to do to make a viral video on TikTok starting with, “Analyze trending content on TikTok to identify common themes and features that tend to go viral” and “Use natural language processing to generate creative and catchy video ideas that align with popular trends and features”. 

The last message says what I have already mentioned above i.e this is a demo and they can’t run their agents for too unless you provide an API. To enter your API on AgentGPT, all you have to do is, click on the “Settings” option on the left side and enter your API. Once, you have entered your API, you can run the agents for a longer period.
