We know what you are wondering! Sprung is a crime comedy show that has kept the audience at the edge of their seats. With an incredible storyline, the show is quite hilarious to watch. The show premiered on the streaming platform Amazon Freevee on August 19, 2022.
It’s been some time since spectators heard about the second season’s arrival. Sprung season 2 is one of the most awaited ones for the audience.
Sprung follows the intriguing narrative of Jack and his life after he is released from prison. Jack has spent nearly three decades in prison but doesn’t know what to do after finally achieving his freedom. He has to figure out a place to live.
He is now committed to staying away from the criminal life. But his determinations are challenged when Jack’s former cellmate in prison offers him a room at his mother Barb’s house. His former cellmate has plans that Jack will probably join their criminal organization. They use their criminal expertise for something good this time.
Jack has been in prison for 30 years on the charges of selling weed. The show also gives us a look at the challenging time of the Coronavirus. Let’s see if there’s going to be a second season.
Will There Be Sprung Season 2?
Sprung has delivered the audience with a unique perspective of the pandemic with a tint of humour. At the moment, there haven’t been any updates regarding the renewal of season two. The series hasn’t received a green light yet from the streaming platform or the series team. But the audience wants more seasons.
The adventure of Jack’s group is hilarious to watch. Hopefully, if there’s a second season of Sprung, we will probably watch it in 2024. The production of the series takes a little time. If the series gets amazing feedback from the audience, we can hope for another season pretty soon.
Martha Plimpton Joined ‘Sprung’ 5 Days Before The Filming
While waiting for another season’s renewal announcement, we have something engaging to share. Did you know that Martha Plimpton joined the ensemble of Sprung five days before the shooting? She received a call from Garret Dillahunt and Gracia regarding the role.
She explained, “I got a call. I was in London, where I am now, and I got a call on a Friday night, around nine o’clock, from Garrett, and Greg said, ‘Can you be on a plane on Sunday and start shooting on Tuesday?’”
Martha also revealed that she loved the character of Sprung. “I had been doing another show, and then that show, for better or worse, didn’t get a second season. I was suddenly free.” She further explained, “I read the scripts on the plane on Sunday, and I loved them. I loved the character and I loved what Greg had done.”
She also said, “Sprung is a show about what happens when you throw together very different people with similar backgrounds into a space where they have no idea what’s happening, and they’ve got to find their way no matter what. And they’re going to do it together.”

There could be a lot of ways the series plot might take a turn. The characters’ performance is widely praised, and we know their performance will enhance the plot if there’s another season. We were impressed by each episode of season one, and that will likely continue.
